How to Make It

Step 1

Start by removing any outer leaves of the cabbage that may be wilted or damaged. Then, using a sharp knife, cut the cabbage in half through the core. Lay each half flat on the cutting board and thinly slice the cabbage crosswise to create fine shreds.

Step 2

Preheat the oven to 180°C (355°F). Add the shredded cabbage at the bottom of a baking pan and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Set it aside.

Step 3

Peel and finely chop the garlic. Finely chop the parsley. Wash and pat dry the fish. Brush each fish with olive oil and place them on top of the cabbage. Sprinkle the chopped garlic and parsley over the fish. Drizzle the remaining olive oil and lemon juice over everything and bake for 20-25 minutes.

Step 4

When done, remove from the oven and transfer to serving plates. Optionally, garnish everything with fresh herbs and lemon wedges. Serve immediately.
