Spicy Glazed Crispy Air Fryer Tofu will be your new favorite way to consume tofu. Extra crispy and soft on the inside, these small cubes of firm tofu coated in a spicy sambal glaze, once crispy they are tossed in savory sesame seed oil and a pinch of kosher salt for a flavor that goes the extra mile.

How to Make It

Step 1

Place cubes of tofu on a plate lined heavily with paper towels to absorb excess moisture.

Step 2

Place several more layers of paper towels on top of the tofu and then top with a heavy pan like a cast-iron skillet. Keep the cast iron on the tofu for at least 15 minutes.

Step 3

Remove the cast-iron skillet from the tofu and slice each square of tofu into 16 even pieces.

Step 4

Place tofu in a bowl and toss with the remaining ingredients.

Step 5

Place half of the tofu into the bottom of an air fryer basket. Use a spoon to separate them so they are not touching each other. Set the fryer for 375 F for 15 minutes.

Step 6

Repeat with the remaining tofu cooking them for 15 minutes as well.

Step 7

Place the cooked tofu in a medium-sized mixing bowl and toss with sesame seed oil and ⅛ tsp kosher salt. Serve hot and crispy!
