Our Keto Microwave Taco Shells are so easy to make. We have simply taken cheese wraps and cooked them in the microwave until nicely browned. Once the cheese is melted and browned, it is shaped over a rolling pin to form a taco shape. These tacos are great for filling with ground taco meat, lettuce, and other taco fillings. They are wonderfully Low Carb as well! You can never run out of easy ways to incorporate fats into your meal plan when on the Keto diet!

How to Make It

Step 1

Place a rolling pin on top of two bowls with the bowls underneath each end of the rolling pin. Doing so will serve as a mold to form the taco shells. Remove the cheese wraps from the packaging. Remove the wax paper that is attached to it. Then place it on a parchment paper-lined microwave-safe plate. Be sure the parchment paper is small enough that it won’t hit the sides of the microwave as the turntable moves. Allowing this will ruin the taco shells and deform them.

Step 2

Microwave on high for 1 to 1 ½ minutes. Start with one minute, adding 30 more seconds necessary to achieve a golden brown color throughout the cheese.

Step 3

When the cheese is still hot, grab the parchment paper and turn the cheese upside down onto the rolling pin. Gently allow the cheese to “drape” over the rolling pin until cooled. Remove the parchment paper and repeat with the other cheese slices.
