This simple yet tasty omelette is loaded with tangy cheddar cheese, chunky ham and aromatic chives. The omelette is part cooked in a skillet then transferred to the oven to finish baking.Perfect served for

How to Make It

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2

Add the eggs to a mixing bowl and season with salt and pepper. Beat well to combine.

Step 3

Add the grated cheese to the bowl and tear in the ham in bite sized chunks. Finely chop the chives and add to the bowl. Beat everything together well to combine.

Step 4

Melt the butter in an oven proof skillet over a medium/high heat. Add the egg mixture and leave to settle for a minute. As the egg begins to cook at the edges, use a spatula to bring the cooked edges towards the center of the skillet, allowing the uncooked egg to flow into the gaps.

Step 5

Once the omelette is about 2/3 cooked, with some liquid still remaining on top, transfer to the oven and bake for a further 8-10 minutes until cooked through and golden brown all over.

  • Raw Egg – 6 medium
  • Cheddar Cheese – 1 cup, grated
  • Chives, Raw – 1 tablespoon
  • Ham Slices – ¾ cup
  • Unsalted Butter – ½ tablespoon
  • Salt, Sea Salt – ¼ teaspoon
  • Black Pepper – ⅛ teaspoon
