Preheat an oven to 375 degrees. Cut a medium size zucchini into 8 spears and lay them on a seasoned sheet tray. Sprinkle the black pepper over the flesh of the zucchini.
Cut 4 long pieces of bacon into halves, making 8 pieces total. Wrap a piece of bacon around each zucchini spear, tucking the ends under the spears.
Bake the tray for 25 min – until the bacon is crisp and the zucchini tender.
