This easy Keto vegan bourbon vanilla hot chocolate is a fantastic and quick recipe for anyone who is avoiding dairy products. It takes about 15 minutes to prepare with just a couple of simple ingredients you probably already have on hand. Full-fat coconut milk is an excellent and low-carb addition to this drink and it will make this vegan hot chocolate wonderfully creamy and delicious. Coconut cream can also be used for this recipe – it’s delicious and completely Keto-friendly. You can add a few drops of orange extract as well or even some rum for a wonderful alcoholic treat.
How to Make It
Step 1
Add full-fat coconut milk, unsweetened almond milk, unsweetened cocoa powder, bourbon vanilla powder, dark chocolate, and granulated sweetener to a small saucepan. Whisk to combine. Make sure to break any lumps.
Step 2
Heat over medium-low heat, whisking frequently, until warm but not boiling. This should take about 10 minutes. Stir well again.
Step 3
Transfer the hot chocolate to serving mugs. Optionally, taste and adjust the sweetener according to your taste. Serve warm.
