How to Make It

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2

Heat the olive oil in a skillet over a medium heat. Add the ground pork and cook until browned all over. Thinly slice the onion and garlic and add to the pan with the pork, cooking for a minute or two until tender.

Step 3

Add the passata, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Stir well to combine and simmer for 3-4 minutes.

Step 4

Add the zucchini noodles and stir well to combine.

Step 5

Spoon half the pasta mixture into a small oven proof dish and crumble over half of the ricotta.

Step 6

Spoon the remaining pasta mixture over the top then crumble over the remaining ricotta and tear over the mozzarella. Sprinkle with the parmesan.

Step 7

Transfer to the oven to bake for 20-25 minutes until piping hot through, golden and bubbling.

Ingredients

  • Ground pork – 9 oz
  • Organic Zucchini Noodles by Whole Foods – 3 cup
  • Italian Seasoning – 2 teaspoon
  • Mozzarella cheese, whole milk – 2 oz
  • Parmesan cheese, fresh (hard) – 2 tbsp, grated
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Passata Tomato Cooking Sauce by Remano – 1 cup
  • Olive Oil – 1 tablespoon
  • White Onion – ½ medium – 2 1/2″ diameter
  • Ricotta cheese, whole milk – 0.33 cup
  • Salt, Sea Salt – ¼ teaspoon
  • Black Pepper – ⅛ teaspoon
