This walnut and blue cheese compound butter is part of our collection of Keto flavored butters 6 different ways. This tangy and savory Keto butter is rich with blue cheese, a hint of garlic, and the crunch of walnuts. This is a great savory option for melting over cooked low carb veggies, as a steak butter, or served with pork chops.

How to Make It

Step 1

Bring the butter to room temperature so that it is soft and easy to mash. Add to a mixing bowl and lightly mash with a fork. Add the chopped walnuts to the bowl along with the garlic powder and crumble in the blue cheese. You should not need to add salt as the cheese will be very salty; however, this is optional.

Step 2

Mash the butter together with the walnuts, garlic powder, and blue cheese. Mix well to ensure the flavorings are evenly distributed throughout the butter. Taste and adjust seasonings or add a little extra cheese if desired. Please be sure to adjust your macros to account for any changes made to the recipe.

Step 3

Scoop the butter mix out from the bowl onto a square of plastic wrap or baking paper. Form a rough log shape from the butter using your hands. Roll the plastic wrap/paper up tightly around the butter, twisting the ends tightly to secure. Transfer the butter to the fridge for 2 hours to firm. Slice and serve as desired with your favorite Keto meals.
