Although you need a small amount, bitters are essential to making a vodka sour. Choose bitters such as Angostura or orange bitters. This is intended to add a bittersweet flavor to the drink, which also adds to the sour taste.
Step 2
Combine your choice of plain vodka along with lemon juice, lime juice, liquid stevia, just a couple of drops of bitters, and raw egg white to a shaker. Don’t add any ice yet. Close and shake the shaker vigorously for about 30 seconds. Then, add ice to the shaker and shake again for another 15 seconds.
Step 3
Fill a short glass with new ice. Then, strain the drink into your glass. Make sure to shake all the frothy egg white over the top of the drink where it will float. You can garnish your vodka sour with a slice of an orange wedge.
