Add the coconut oil, syrup and half the milk to a small saucepan and bring to a vigorous boil. Stir well to combine and leave to simmer for a minute.

Reduce the heat a little and add the almond butter, vanilla, salt and remaining milk. Stir well to combine. Continue to bubble for 4-5 minutes until golden and reduced to a thick caramel consistency.
