Choose a Turkish coffee brand of your choice. If you can’t find Turkish coffee, the next best option would be Greek coffee. If you’ve never made this style of coffee before, look for imported coffees in a grocery store with an international aisle. Otherwise, you may have to make an online purchase or find a small business that sells imported Turkish items.
Step 2
Add 1 tablespoon per serving of fine-ground coffee to a small pot with 4 oz of water per serving. Begin heating the water until it’s just below boiling. As you see foam begin to rise, remove it gently with a spoon. Remove all the foam or ‘scum’ off the top of the coffee, never letting the coffee reach boiling. The photo you see is an example of the foam that gets discarded from the coffee.
Step 3
Stir the coffee together and add any additional ingredients you’d like. Choose your desired Keto sweetener such as powdered erythritol or zero-carb liquid stevia drops. Some Turkish coffee includes a pinch of cardamom or ground clove. Serve approximately 3 fl oz of hot black coffee per serving in a small cup or enjoy it in smaller servings like shots of espresso.
