Turkey burgers are so delicious! They taste excellent when topped with fresh veggies, like spinach and peppers. Cheddar cheese also happens to complement lean turkey very well. We took a burger and turned it into a casserole, so you can enjoy all the flavor minus the bun.

How to Make It

Step 1

Heat a large skillet on high heat. Place in the ground turkey with salt, pepper, onion powder, and paprika.

Step 2

Cook the ground turkey until browned and much of the liquid evaporated. Discard of any remaining liquid when done.

Step 3

Preheat an oven to 350 degrees and prepare an 8×10 baking dish with pan spray. Chop and arrange the cauliflower at the bottom of the dish. Drizzle the olive oil across the cauliflower.

Step 4

Transfer half of the cooked turkey into the baking dish and spread it over the cauliflower. Sprinkle the first amount of cheddar cheese over the turkey as well.

Step 5

Next, create a layer of spinach. Then, chop and distribute the red bell pepper over the spinach.

Step 6

Finally, spread the remaining ground turkey on the top of the baking dish. Sprinkle the final amount of cheese over the turkey too,

Step 7

Bake the casserole, uncovered, for 30 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.

Step 8

Slice into 6 slices for serving!

  • Ground Turkey – 1 pound
  • Salt – 0.75 teaspoon
  • Black Pepper – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Onion Powder – 0.5 teaspoon
  • Paprika – 0.25 teaspoon
  • Cauliflower, Raw – 10 ounce
  • Olive Oil – ½ tablespoon
  • Spinach – 1 ounce
  • Red Bell Peppers, Raw – 3 ounce
  • Cheddar Cheese – ⅓ cup, shredded
  • Cheddar Cheese – ⅓ cup, shredded
