Cover four wooden kebab skewers with water and set aside to soak for 20 minutes whilst you prepare the chicken.

Add the chicken pieces to a large bowl along with the syrup, oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Rub the seasonings all over the fillets so they are well coated. Set aside until the skewers are ready.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 4
Divide the chicken meat evenly between the soaked skewers.
Step 5
Arrange across a shallow oven tray, brushing with any excess marinade. Bake for 18-22 minutes or until golden and the chicken is completely cooked through.
