This holiday inspired ham is aromatic with festive spices and maple flavored syrup.
Finely grate the ginger and mince the garlic. Add to a mixing bowl along with the syrup, cinnamon and cloves. Mix well to combine.
Add the gammon to the base of a slow cooker and pour over the syrup, ensuring the gammon is coated all over in the sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
Add the water to the slow cooker.
Cook on low for 7-8 hours or high for 4-5 until completely cooked through and the meat is falling apart. Slice or shred to serve.
