This aromatic lemon and herb compound butter is part of our collection of Keto flavored butters 6 different ways. Zesty lemon, fragrant rosemary, and fresh thyme leaves are combined with unsalted butter to create a rich and flavorsome topping, perfect for melting over steamed low carb veggies or basting roasted chicken. This compound butter is a great way to add extra flavor to your Keto meals and boost your daily fats.
How to Make It
Step 1
Let the butter come to room temperature so that it is soft and easy to mix. Add the softened butter to a mixing bowl and mash lightly with a fork. Finely chop the rosemary and pick the thyme leaves, discarding any stalks. Add the rosemary, thyme, lemon juice, lemon zest, and salt to the bowl with the softened butter.
Step 2
Use a fork to mash the butter, herbs, lemon juice, zest, and salt together. Beat everything together until well combined, and the flavorings are distributed evenly throughout the butter. Taste and adjust the seasonings as needed.
Step 3
Scoop the butter mix out from the bowl and onto a square of plastic wrap or baking paper. Use your hands to mold the butter roughly into a log shape. Wrap the edges of the plastic wrap/paper tightly around the butter, twisting the ends to seal. Transfer the flavored butter to the fridge to set and firm for two hours. Slice and serve as desired.
