Preheat an oven to 350 F. In a small saute pan, roast the garlic cloves and habanero on several sides until charred. This will take about 5-7 minutes over medium heat.

Once cloves and chili are softened, place in a mortar and pestle and grind until it makes a smooth paste. This should be easy if the charring process was done correctly as the garlic and chili will be soft. If you don’t have a mortar and pestle, you can use a small food processor.

Add olive oil and salt.

Then add the macadamia nuts, toss to combine.
Step 5
Bake in the oven for 20 minutes until the nuts are a nice golden brown. Let cool.
