Add room temperature butter to a mixing bowl so that it is soft and mixable.

Finely chop the capers and dill and add to the bowl with the butter, along with the lemon zest. Mash everything together thoroughly to combine.
Step 3
Lay out a square of saran wrap. Spoon the butter along the center of the square, then roughly mould it into a sausage shape with your hands.
Step 4
Bring the edges of the wrap up around the butter, wrapping it tightly in a sausage shape. Twist the ends of the wrap securely to seal. Transfer to the fridge to firm up for 20 minutes.
