Long-missed are the days of munchable bar food, but sometimes there’s no holding back from a juicy pub burger. This simple
How to Make It
Step 1
Prepare your burgers by combining the ground sirloin with all the seasonings in a bowl. Use your hands to form two patties, which will be close to an inch thick.
Step 2
Melt the butter in a large pan and turn the heat to medium-high. Place the burgers in, and cover the pan with a lid. Let the patties cook for about 4 minutes, then flip them with a spatula. The patties should have a crisp brown to them.
Step 3
Slice the cheddar cheese into thin slices, and place them evenly on top of the patties. Cover the pan again with the lid and let the cheese melt, cooking the burger completely through. Let the burgers cook to your preferred doneness, and set them aside to cool slightly on a plate. You may dab some grease away with a paper towel.
Step 4
Slice two thick slices of tomato and a couple rings of red onion for each burger. Arrange them on top of the burgers. Rinse the romaine lettuce leaves and remove the thick white bottoms. Wrap the leaves around the burger patties and enjoy!
