Lassi is a popular Indian drink, which is easily adaptable for a Keto diet. This Keto Indian drink is made with low carb yogurt, brown sugar sweetener, vanilla extract, and a hint of ginger. Do not forget to add a pinch of sea salt for electrolytes (important on a Keto diet) which also brings out the flavors and sweetness of the yogurt. Serve chilled soon after it is blended, or you can store it in the fridge for a couple of days until ready to enjoy.
How to Make It
Step 1
Combine all the ingredients – the vanilla yogurt, brown sugar substitute, chilled water, vanilla extract (or vanilla beans scraped from a pod if you choose), fresh ginger (optional), and a pinch of sea salt in a smoothie maker.
Step 2
Blend the ingredients until smooth. Add plenty of ice to four glasses. Check the consistency. Feel free to add more chilled water as necessary to achieve a drinkable consistency.
Step 3
If serving only one portion, put ice in one glass and divide ¼ of the lassi. If not, add ice to 4 glasses and divide the lassi evenly among them.
Step 4
Pour the lassi over the ice in the glass. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
