Preheat the oven to 350 F (180 C). Add the butter to a large microwave-safe bowl. Melt it in 30-second intervals. Then add the remaining ingredients except for the chocolate chips. Stir well to make sure all the ingredients are combined.

Spray an 8” x 8” pan with cooking spray (we like to use an avocado cooking spray over a vegetable-based cooking spray). Then pour the batter into the prepared pan. Spread the batter smooth with an offset spatula.
Step 3
Sprinkle the top of the brownies with ¼ cup of chocolate chips evenly on the surface. Bake for 15-16 minutes or until the brownies are cooked through but not overbaked. The brownies should be just set but not too gooey. Allow cooling completely in the pan before attempting to cut them. Cut into 16 squares.
