How to Make It

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 210 C/ 425 F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a rack on top. In a bowl, toss the chicken wings with salt, pepper, and oil.

Step 2

Arrange the wings on top of the rack. Transfer the baking sheet to the oven. Bake for 15 minutes.

Step 3

While the wings are cooking, prepare the sticky sauce by whisking the soy sauce, vinegar, water, minced garlic, ginger, sesame oil, honey-flavored syrup, and xanthan gum in a saucepan. Place the pan over medium heat and bring to a simmer. Let the sauce thicken, then take it off the heat.

Step 4

Take the baking sheet out of the oven and flip all the wings. Return to the oven and bake for another 20 minutes until cooked through. Transfer the wings to a large bowl.

Step 5

Pour the sticky sauce over the chicken wings and toss. Slice the scallions and add them to the chicken. Toss again.

Step 6

Transfer the wings to a large serving platter or 4 individual plates. Sprinkle with more scallions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.

  • Chicken wing – 1 kg
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Black pepper – 0.5 tsp
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Soy sauce, low sodium – 0.25 cup
  • Rice Vinegar – 2 tbsp
  • Water – 2 tbsp
  • Garlic – 2 clove
  • Sesame oil – 1 tsp
  • Ginger, ground – 0.5 tsp
  • Honey Tree’s Sugar Free Honey Flavored Syrup – 1 1 Tbsp
  • Baking Aids Xanthan Gum – 0.25 tsp
  • Scallions or spring onions, tops and bulb, raw – 2 medium – 4 1/8″ long
