This hearty soup is full of flavors, and so filling that you can easily serve it as lunch, dinner, or a quick snack between meals. This recipe yields 6 servings, but you can adjust the amount of ingredients to feed more or less. It also takes about 40 minutes to prepare everything, which is not much for a hearty dish like this. This fantastic recipe is best when served fresh and warm with a few drops of lime juice and some freshly chopped parsley or cilantro on top. How to Make It

Step 1

Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Peel and chop the onions. Add the ground beef, onions, and garlic powder to the pan.

Step 2

Cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the salt, cumin, and chili powder. Mix well and continue to cook for 2-3 minutes.

Step 3

Stir in the cream cheese. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for 5 minutes. Stir occasionally.

Step 4

Pour in the broth, tomatoes, and heavy cream. Stir all well and cook for 5-7 minutes on medium-low heat. Taste and optionally add more salt or black pepper.

Step 5

Transfer the soup to serving bowls. Optionally, garnish with some freshly chopped parsley or sprinkle with lime juice. Enjoy!
