This steak breakfast skillet is loaded with bites of tender steak, seasoned potatoes, and sautéed onions and peppers. It is the perfect family meal to serve on a weekend morning or afternoon. Pair this recipe with fried eggs for a balanced, high-protein breakfast. Everything is cooked in one skillet, so you won’t need to worry about doing the dishes afterwards.

How to Make It

Step 1

Cut the potatoes into 1 cm cubes, finely chop the onion and pepper, and mince the garlic. Cut the beef into bite-sized pieces. Add 1 tbsp of oil to a pan or skillet and place it over high heat.

Step 2

Add the beef to the pan/skillet and toss for 2 minutes. Add half the amounts of oregano, paprika, salt, and black pepper and stir. Transfer the beef to a plate.

Step 3

Drop the heat to medium-low and add the remaining oil. Add the potatoes and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the pepper and onion and cook for 5 more minutes.

Step 4

Once the potatoes are fork tender, add the minced garlic and the remaining seasoning. Cook for another minute until the garlic is fragrant. Return the steak bites to the pan and toss to combine.

Step 5

Take the pan off the heat. Chop the parsley and sprinkle it on top. Serve immediately!

    0.5 medium – 2 1/2″ diameter

  • Red pepper

    0.5 large – 3″ diameter x 3 3/4″

  • Garlic

    2 clove

  • Oregano, ground

    0.5 tsp

  • Paprika

    0.5 tsp

  • Salt

    0.75 tsp

  • Black pepper

    0.5 tsp

  • Parsley

    2 tbsp, chopped
