How to Make It

Step 1

Crush the garlic and grate the ginger. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over a medium heat. Add the ginger and garlic and sweat gently until tender.

Step 2

Slice the tough core from the cabbage and discard any wilted outer leaves. Thinly slice the cabbage and chop the scallions into 1 inch chunks. Add to the pan along with the pork. Stir well to combine. Pan fry until the pork is just cooked through.

Step 3

Add the chili flakes, lime juice and tamari. Stir well and cook for a minute more or until the cabbage is tender.

Step 4

Scatter with chopped fresh cilantro to serve.

  • Ground Pork – 9 ounce
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Ginger – 1 slice – 1″ diameter
  • Olive Oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Hot Chili Pepper, Dried, With Seeds – 1 teaspoon
  • Scallions – 1 large
  • Lime Juice, Fresh – 1 teaspoon
  • Cilantro – 1 tablespoon
  • Tamari Sauce – 1 tablespoon
  • Cabbage – ½ small – head – approx 4 1/2″ diameter
