Add the pecans to the bottom of an air fryer basket and set the machine to 245 F for 40 minutes. Remove the basket halfway through and give it a good shake, then return it to the machine to finish.

In the meantime, crush the sea salt in a mortar and pestle very finely until it looks like flour.

Add the flour salt to the toasted pecans and toss well. They should turn an opaque color as they are now coated with the flour salt. Allow the pecans to cool completely to allow them to crisp (if you can wait that long).
