Step 1
Brew black tea in 8 oz of hot water per serving in a small pot. Include cardamom as well as the star anise and cinnamon stick that were mentioned at the beginning of the recipe notes. You can choose to make the tea darker with a second bag of black tea since the tea will be very sweet.
Step 2
After brewing, stir vanilla extract, almond extract, liquid stevia drops, and coconut cream into the tea. Strain the tea and discard the bags and all aromatics before allowing the tea to cool. Let the tea cool at room temperature, which will take at least 1 hour but may take longer (time will vary per person).
Step 3
For serving, fill a 16 oz glass with ice. Pour a serving of chilled tea over the ice to fill the glass. Top the glass with a tablespoon of coconut milk. The coconut milk can come from either a carton or a can, as long as it’s not separated.
