Add the broccoli to a pan of boiling water. Simmer for 4-5 minutes until just tender. Drain and set aside.

Heat the olive oil in a skillet or wok over a low/medium heat. Thinly slice the garlic and sweat gently until tender. Add the broccoli and increase the heat to medium and stir fry for a minute to brown the edges a little.
Step 3
Whilst the broccoli is cooking, whisk together the syrup, tamari, sesame oil, lime juice and chili flakes.
Step 4
Pour half the sweet and sour dressing over the broccoli and stir fry for a minute more.
Step 5
Drizzle the broccoli with the remaining dressing and scatter with sesame seeds to serve.
