In a shallow skillet, melt the butter. Cook the chicken livers in the butter with the bay leaf on medium-low heat, covered, for about 6-7 minutes. Flip the livers halfway through for even cooking.

Remove the bay leaf. Leave the juices in the pan, and transfer the cooked livers to a food processor. Add the remaining ingredients to the food processor and blend until fully combined.
Step 3
Blend in the leftover juices in the pan to bring the pate to your preferred smoothness. The more fat you add, the richer the pate will be!
