Review these notes when gathering ingredients to make the soda. To make an authentic flavor, choose standard lemons and limes instead of Meyer lemons or Key limes. While these fruits taste great, they add a sweetness that doesn’t match the flavors you’re creating here. If you don’t own pink sea salt, plain flaky sea salt or table salt are perfect substitutes. You may choose between plain or lime-flavored sparkling water.
Step 2
Squeeze all the lemon juice and lime juice into the bottom of a tall glass at least 12 ounces or larger. You may pour the juice through a sieve to remove any unwanted pulp. Otherwise, continue to stir salt, liquid stevia, and erythritol into the juice until the ingredients dissolve. Fill the glass about halfway with ice cubes.
Step 3
To complete the soda, pour sparkling water into the glass until it’s filled. Stir the drink together gently once more to combine all the flavors. You may taste and adjust the flavors to your liking. If you find the citrus flavor too strong, you can use extra sparkling water or tap water. If you want to add more sweetness to the soda, opt for more liquid stevia over erythritol. Enjoy immediately while cold and fizzy.
