How to Make It

Step 1

Preheat an oven to 350 degrees and line a sheet tray with parchment paper. Unwrap the string cheese and cut each piece into 2 short halves. If you don’t have string cheese, you can refer to the introduction for substitutes you can use. Remove the lining from your thin slices of prosciutto and lay them out flat on a clean surface.

Step 2

One by one, roll each small piece of string cheese in a slice of prosciutto. Lay the prosciutto horizontally in front of you. Place a piece of string cheese on the left side and fold the prosciutto over the cheese. Then, roll up the prosciutto until the whole slice is rolled around the cheese. To keep the cheese from melting outside the ends, fold the ends of the prosciutto under the rolls.

Step 3

Place the rolled prosciutto mozzarella sticks on your sheet tray. Bake the mozzarella sticks for 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the prosciutto is crispy and browned. You can pat away any excess grease with a paper towel. Let the mozzarella stick cool for 1-2 minutes before eating. Store leftover mozzarella sticks in an airtight container in your refrigerator for up to 5 days.
