How to Make It

Step 1

Heat a tablespoon of olive in a large pan over a medium heat. Add the ground beef and fry until browned all over.

Step 2

Mince the garlic and add to the pan along with the dried herbs and spices, salt and pepper. Stir well to combine. Continue to cook for a further minute or two.

Step 3

Add the green beans, stock and tomatoes and simmer for 15-20 minutes until most of the liquid has evaporated.

Step 4

Finely slice the scallions and scatter over the cooked mince to serve.

  • Green Beans (string Beans), Raw – 1 cup, cut pieces
  • Cinnamon, Ground – ½ teaspoon
  • Ginger, Ground – 1 teaspoon
  • Chili Powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin, Ground – 1 teaspoon
  • Ground Coriander – ½ x 1 tsp
  • Cloves, Ground – ⅛ teaspoon
  • Turmeric, Ground – ⅛ teaspoon
  • Tomato, Canned – ⅓ cup
  • Beef Broth, Bouillon Or Consomme, Homemade – ¾ cup
  • Scallions – 2 medium – 4 1/8″ long
  • Salt, Sea Salt – ¼ teaspoon
  • Black Pepper – ⅛ teaspoon
