These tasty green beans are par-cooked until tender then sautéed with crispy bacon, zesty lemon, aromatic thyme and garlic.These make a great side to roasted chicken or pork.
How to Make It
Step 1
Add the green beans to a pan of boiling water and simmer for 4-5 minutes until just tender. Drain completely.
Step 2
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over a medium heat. Roughly dice the bacon and add to the skillet until just cooked through.
Step 3
Thinly slice the garlic and add to the pan, sweating gently until tender and the bacon is crisp and golden.
Step 4
Add the green beans, lemon zest, thyme, salt and pepper. Stir well to combine and sauté for 2 minutes. Serve hot.
