Ingredients
- 500 grams lamb mince
- 1 teaspoon garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 egg
- 1.5 tablespoons oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon mint
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
To Serve
- 1/2 cup Tzatziki Refer to recipe or store bought
- 1 Lemon Cut into wedges
- 1 cup Rocket leaves
Instructions
-
In a large mixing bowl, combine all meatball ingredients except olive oil.
-
Mix together thoroughly with your hands, ensuring all ingredients are evenly incorporated. By using your hands, the lamb fat starts to melt and helps glue the meatballs together.
-
Roll the mince into tablespoon size balls.
-
In a large frying pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Fry the meatballs for 7 – 10 minutes, turning regularly to ensure they are golden brown on all sides.
-
Check for doneness (a little pink in the middle is ok, it’s lamb!)
-
Serve atop the rocket leaves with lemon wedges and tzatziki.
